"Gordon's rack improves upon today's aluminum racks just as
much as they improved upon the Pletscher. The difference is
easily noticed. . . " - Bicycle
Guide
When we set about designing a High Mount Front Rack,
we knew it would have to be more than just a rear rack in
reverse. It would have to give the ground clearance of a
high mount design while retaining much of the stability and
ease of control of a low mount rack. Sound like a
contradiction? - Not any more.
Introducing the high mount rack that thinks it's a low mount
rack. Our revolutionary wedge shape lets you place your
packs at the steering axis on the bike, much like a good low
mount design. The side platform that supports your packs
also keeps them from fouling your brakes. Combine that with
our exclusive four point mounting system, machine mitered
joints, and 4130 chrome-moly tubing for unparalleled
strength and rigidity. The result is a rack that, by moving
the weight back, takes front rack design a giant step
forward.
Features: Machine mitered joints, separate fender
mounting eyelets, 4130 chrome-moly tubing (tensile strength
95,000 psi, more than twice that of 6061 T6 aluminum).
Area of pannier support: 81 square inches. Fully adjustable
to fit almost any bike. TIG welded by hand.
